单词 | intertemporal substitution |
释义 | intertemporal substitution The extent to which similar goods or services at different times are substitutable. If fares at peak periods are higher than off-peak, for example, this can induce travellers for whom off-peak travel is a good substitute for peak-period travel, such as shoppers, to change to off-peak journeys, while travellers such as office workers, for whom journeys at different times are poor substitutes, tend to stick to the peak periods. |
