单词 | incentive-compatibility |
释义 | incentive-compatibility The requirement in economic models that people and firms are not assumed to act in ways contrary to their own interest. If a suggested equilibrium involves people choosing A when B is available to them, and they would prefer B to A, then the suggested equilibrium is not incentive-compatible. Policies have to be designed so that self-interest induces people to behave in the way that the authorities want. |
