释义 | trade-weighted index number An index number where the weights are proportional to various other countries' shares in a country's trade. Such an index number is used to calculate a country's effective exchange rate, when the other countries have variable exchange rates with one another. The weights may be based on imports, exports, or the sum of the two. |
