| 释义 | linear function A function of the form y = a + bx, where a and b are constants. A linear function is so called because its graph is always a straight line. The equation y = 0 can always be solved for a linear function with b ≠ 0 by using the formula x = -a/b. A linear function may have N arguments, x1, x2,…, xN, taking the form y = a + b1 x1 + b2 x2 + … + bN xN. For each i, only xi and no power of xi appears as an argument. |
