释义 | collectivism collectivism An economic system in which much of the planning is carried out by a central government and the means of production is owned by the state. This system was formerly common in eastern Europe and the developing world but has now been generally replaced by free-market systems. collusion1. An agreement between two or more parties in order to prejudice a third party, or for any improper purpose. Collusion to carry out an illegal, not merely improper, purpose is punishable as a conspiracy. In a business context, collusion may consist of an agreement to suppress competition by price fixing, conditions of sale, etc. Seerestrictive trade practices. collusive duopoly A form of duopoly in which producers collude with each other in a price-fixing agreement, thus forming a virtual monopoly, and negotiate a profit-sharing arrangement. |
