释义 | margin A proportion of the value of a transaction which traders have to deposit to guarantee that they will complete it. Buying shares on margin means contracting to buy them without actually putting up the full cash price immediately. To safeguard the other party, a buyer is required to deposit a margin, that is a percentage of the price sufficient to protect the seller against loss if the buyer cannot complete. |
