floating-rate certificate of deposit = FRCD A certificate of deposit with a variable interest rate, normally for interbank lending purposes. Commonly bearing a one-year maturity, these certificates have interest rates that may be adjusted (e.g. every 90 days); they are usually expressed in eurodollars at a rate linked to LIBOR. |
