释义 | Financial Services Act 1986 A UK Act of Parliament that came into force in April 1988. Its main objectives were to regulate investment business, providing investors with greater protection, and to promote greater competition in the industry. These objectives were to be achieved by means of the Securities and Investment Board and its Self-Regulating Organizations. It provided legislation for many of the recommendations of the Gower Report. The act's provisions and framework were amended by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. |
