单词 | executive director |
释义 | executive director = working director A director of a company who is also an employee (usually full-time) of that company. An executive director will often have a specified role in the management of the company, such as finance director, marketing director, production director, etc. A non-executive director is a member of the board of directors and is therefore involved in planning and policy-making, but not in the day-to-day management of the company. A non-executive director is often employed for prestige (if he is well known), for his experience or contacts, or for his specialist knowledge, which may only be required occasionally. |
