释义 | European Monetary Institute = EMI An organization set up by the Maastricht Treaty in 1991 in order to coordinate the economic and monetary policy of members of the European Union before the introduction of a single European currency in accordance with the objectives of European Monetary Union (EMU); (see European Monetary System). The members of the EMI council were the governors of the central banks of the EU countries. It was superseded by the European Central Bank. |
