释义 | run 1) The hasty and simultaneous withdrawal of funds by a large number of depositors, who have lost confidence in a bank or other financial institution. A financial institution on which there is a run can be pushed into collapse by the increasing loss of confidence and panic it creates. 2) Lack of confidence in a particular currency, causing investors and speculators to sell their holding of that currency, e.g. a run on the pound. 3) A dealer's list of prices for securities. |
