It is in essence a brainstorming technique. When applied to a business, the two dimensions of the matrix relate to those assets at risk in the business and how these assets are at risk. When considering what is at risk, the assets of the business are defined as widely as possible, including both tangible assets and such intangible assets as reputation and branding. |
