单词 | reciprocity |
释义 | reciprocity A form of negotiation in which one party agrees to make a concession in return for a reciprocal, or broadly equivalent, action by the other. Most international economic negotiations take this form. For example, agreements to lower protectionist barriers over markets are nearly always made on a reciprocal basis. Economists often argue that this is inefficient, since unilateral action is frequently beneficial by itself. |
