| 释义 | tax and price index = TPI A measure of the increase in taxable income needed to compensate taxpayers for any increase in retail prices. As an index of the rate of inflation, it is similar to the Retail Price Index, but in addition to measuring price changes it includes changes in average tax liability; for example, a cut in income tax will cause the TPI to rise by less than the RPI. This indicator now receives only limited attention. |
