释义 | postal account A savings account with a bank or a building society that can only be operated by letter or (sometimes) by automated teller machine: amounts paid into the account or withdrawn from it cannot be dealt with over the counter or by telephone or over the Internet. Postal accounts usually pay a higher rate of interest than those that can be operated in person because of their cost structure. In some postal accounts the bank will draw a cheque on a saver's account in response to written instructions. |
