corporate policy(company policy) A set of written guidelines intended to govern the actions of a company’s managers and its other employees in specified situations. Typically, corporate policy will be both internal and external. Internal policies cover issues such as the behaviour of employees at work and the procedures used to deal with human resources questions; external policies govern behaviour towards customers and the broader public.
