Good Delivery When an exchange-traded security meets a set of requirements for being in proper form for transfer of title to the buyer. Investopedia Says: This term, when applied to a security, represents the security certificate's readiness to be transferred to the purchaser "on good delivery". If this readiness is not achieved, the transaction cannot be settled. For example, if a certificate has a share transfer restriction on it, the certificate will not be deemed good delivery.
