The Round managed for the first time to include some modest steps to restrict agricultural protection, and arrived at a new General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). It also covered reform of the Multi-Fibre Arrangement (MFA) on international trade in textiles, and the question of intellectual property rights. |
