| 释义 | recommended retail price A price that the producer of a good recommends should be charged to final customers. In the UK such recommendations are not normally legally enforceable. It is not clear why producers should wish to recommend retail prices rather than simply setting their own ‘factory door’ price and letting distributors decide their margins for themselves. One possibility is that the producers believe that price-cutting by low-cost outlets would eventually reduce total sales by driving low-turnover outlets out of business. |
