单词 | dirty float |
释义 | dirty float A technique for managing the exchange rate in which a government intervenes in the foreign-exchange markets at its own discretion to influence the exchange rate of its own currency. This technique was widely used after the collapse of the Bretton Woods fixed exchange rate system in the early 1970s as governments were unable to agree programmes of explicitly managed floating, but were not prepared to accept fully floating rates. |
