Turnover is defined in the UK Companies Act 1985 as the total revenue of an organization derived from the provision of goods and services, less trade discounts, VAT, and any other taxes based on this revenue. 2) More generally, the rate at which at some asset is turned over, e.g. stock turnover is obtained by dividing the total sales figure by the value of the particular asset. 3) The total value of the transactions on a market or stock exchange in a specified period. |
