单词 | Special Commissioners |
释义 | Special Commissioners A body of civil servants who are specialized tax lawyers appointed by the Lord Chancellor to hear appeals against assessments to income tax, corporation tax, and capital gains tax. A taxpayer may choose to appeal to the Special Commissioners, rather than the General Commissioners, particularly in cases in which legal matters rather than questions of fact are at issue. |
