The CAC (Cotation Assistée en Continue) electronic trading system was introduced in 1988 and the Relit five-day rolling settlement system was launched in 1990, based on delivery against payment. Trading is carried out through 45 broker members of the exchange; the market's indicator is the CAC General Index, based on the prices of 250 shares, with a subsidiary CAC-40 developed for an index futures contract. |
