3 when two or more companies work together, for example to try to sell their products: a tie-in with an American satellite giant
4 (especially AmE) a way of selling sth in which two or more products must be bought together; a product that is sold in this way: tie-in deals which guaranteed they would buy more stock
5 a contract or an agreement that limits what you can do or makes you do sth for a fixed period of time: Business customers can rent software on a monthly basis with no tie-in period. The interest rate is good for 12 months and then becomes a less attractive tie-in.
