The law of diminishing returns applies to physical products: at some point unit cost increases with volume. The firm reached a point of diminishing returns: it was spending a lot of money on technology to win an increasingly small number of contracts. Because of the law of diminishing returns, the benefits do not increase proportionally as the airport expands. |
