(Marketing ) a measurement of the number of people who see a particular TV programme or advertisement, used to show if it is good at reaching the group of people that a business wants to sell its products to. It is equal to the percentage of the possible audience who see it multiplied by the number of times it is shown: The strength of a television schedule is measured in terms of Gross Rating Points (GRPs). An average GRP goal for a typical packaged product is 1 000 to 5 000 in a year. Hispanic teen GRPs for spot radio were slightly larger than the GRPs for adults over 21. |
