Recognized Investment Exchange(RIE) In the UK, a body authorized under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 to sell financial instruments. There are currently five RIEs: the London Stock Exchange, ICE Futures Europe (formerly the International Petroleum Exchange), the London Metal Exchange, ISDX (formerly PLUS Markets), and Bats Chi-X Europe.
