释义 | Office of Communications Office of Communications(Ofcom) A UK government body set up in 2003 to supervise the communications industries. It was formed from a merger of the Office for Telecommunications (Oftel) and the various regulatory bodies for radio and television broadcasting. It is responsible for issuing licences, regulating competition, and protecting the interests of the consumer. Since 2011 it has also been responsible for regulating the UK’s postal services. |
