NYSE Arca NYSE Arca An electronic platform for trading in shares and options, with its headquarters in Chicago. It originated as Archipelago, later ArcaEx, in 1996, and took over the former Pacific Exchange in 2005. A year later it was itself acquired by the New York Stock Exchange (subsequently NYSE Euronext). After NASDAQ, it is the largest electronic trading system in the world by volume of shares traded. |
