London Metal Exchange

London Metal Exchange(LME) The world’s largest non-ferrous metals exchange, the total value of contracts each year being around $15,000 billion. Established in 1877, it is now regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. The LME trades in futures and options contracts in copper, aluminium, nickel, zinc, and lead. An electronic trading platform was introduced in 2001, but open outcry trading remains important.
