(3) Russell 2000 index, measures the performance of 2000 smallest firms (average capitalization $467 million) representing 10 percent of the equity market. (4) Russell 1000 index, measures the performance of 1000 largest firms in the Russell 3000 index (average capitalization $7.6 billion) representing 90 percent of the equity market.
