Definition
A United States based trade organization for advancing the common interests of both advertising agencies and consumers. The Association for National Advertisers or ANA, was founded in Detroit, Michigan by 45 companies in 1910, and it is now based in New York City, with offices in Washington D.C. At the time of its founding, the ANA's objective was for the promotion of cooperative relationships among regional and national advertisers and businesses, industries and manufacturers. In addition to its original mandate, the organization addresses the establishment of national standards for the accurate measurement of audiences and advertising results.
