释义 | Hersey and Blanchard modelDefinition A situational leadership model developed by Kenneth Blanchard and Paul Hersey suggesting there is no ideal leadership style, and that leaders must adapt their style depending on the situation. The model lets you analyze the needs of the situation, and then suggests an appropriate leadership style according to the development level of the "follower". Leadership styles are split into four quadrants: 1) delegating 2) supporting 3) coaching and 4) directing. While follower development level is split into: 1) high competence / high commitment 2) high competence / variable commitment 3) some competence / low commitment and 4) low competence / high commitment. |
