Applying an antiseptic to an open wound to ensure that it doesn't become infected with bacteria is one of the most crucial steps in the healing process of an injury.
After cutting the raw chicken, I made sure to use and antiseptic cleaner to thoroughly disinfect the cutting board so no harmful bacteria remained.
Fortunately we had antiseptic which helped treat my wound otherwise I may have been in a lot of pain for a long time.
