workforce flow mapping

A human resources diagnostic tool involving analyzing the stages and dynamics of labor performed by employees that is generally used to make a company's staff more productive. For example, a company might use workforce flow mapping to streamline a certain manufacturing procedure or improve its customer service. The workforce flow map would ideally begin by choosing an area to improve. A team is then assembled and problems are identified. The team brainstorms solutions and steps are then taken to develop and implement a plan. The team then meets and evaluates the new plan's performance. Any follow through action is then taken with progress closely monitored and additional measures taken, if needed.
