单词 | olf |
释义 | olfDefinition A unit of air pollution strength, which measures the scent emission of an object. One olf is equivalent to the scent emitted by an average person at rest, who takes approximate 0.7 baths per day, has a surface area of 1.8 meters squared, works in an office environment, and is generally healthy (non-smoker, etc). The more olfs an item emits, the more likely it is to be a source of air pollution. The subsequent air quality is measured in decipols. Both measures were invented by the Danish environmental scientist, P. O. Fanger. |
