单词 | daisy chaining |
释义 | daisy chainingDefinitions 1. Computers: Technique of connecting several (usually up to seven) peripherals in a 'chain' (serially) to a computer. The data cable originating from the computer passes from device 1 to device 2 to device 3 ... and so on until the last device. Each device has an 'address,' and responds only if the data is specifically addressed to it. Both SCSI and USB port schemes allow devices to be daisy-chained so that all connected devices are available to the user, but only one at a time and not simultaneously. 2. Securities: Illegal practice by which brokers create the appearance of high interest and vigorous activity in the trading of security through artificial buy-sell deals. |
