stopover

On their way to Amsterdam, they decided to have a stopover in London. They were going to spend a couple nights there to see the city before continuing to Amsterdam.

Since our flight to our vacations spot was so long we unfortunately had to deal with a stopover that almost felt like it took forever to get us going again.

The stopover was expected so we had begun reading books and taking notes about the material considering it would be useful.
