单词 | large capitalization stock |
释义 | large capitalization stockDefinition US term for the stock (shares) of a large publicly held blue-chip firm with a market capitalization of $5-billion or more. Stocks of these firms (which are the major drivers of economy) are tracked by both Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and the Standard And Poor's 500 (S&P 500). Value of their shares, because of their sheer volume, tends to grow slower than those of smaller firms but remains stable over longer periods. Also called large caps. |
