Type of personalized instruction in which learning material is presented in small units. When a student feels ready, he or she takes a test on the completed unit and, depending on the result, is exposed to other units at a comfortable pace. Under Keller plan, instructors serve only as facilitators, administer no punishment at any stage of the learning, and award only pass or fail grades.
