释义 | interlocutory injunctionDefinition Granted before the commencement of a trial (usually to maintain the status quo) where the plaintiff can satisfy the court he or she will suffer irreparable harm if the injunction is not immediately granted. Plaintiff is required to post security to protect the defendant from damage if the injunction turns out to be erroneously granted. At the end of the trial, the court may decide on a permanent injunction based on the merits of the case. Also called preliminary injunction or temporary restraining order. |
