A regional stock exchange located in Boston, Massachusetts. The third-oldest stock exchange in the United States, the BSE was established in 1834. It is owned by its 200 members, each of whom has a seat on the exchange. The BSE trades approximately 2000 securities in a hybrid trading system that combines an open outcry auction and electronic trading.
