Definition
The difference in expected revenue and actual revenue when the price of a unit changes. For example, if a company produced 1,000 units of a good and expected to sell them for $100/unit, it expected revenues of $100,000. If the actual price that the goods were sold at is $110, the company sees a selling price variance of $10,000 (1,000 units x $110/unit - $100,000).
